The agent of Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin will reportedly travel to Italy to discuss an Inter Milan move.

Bellerin featured 35 times last season as the Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League and reached the semi-final of the Europa League.

He has spent ten years in north London since leaving Barcelona’s academy but could be on the move this summer.

It has been reported that Bellerin is keen to leave Arsenal in search of a fresh challenge.

Inter were immediately linked with his signature as they look to replace Moroccan wing-back Achraf Hakimi.

And the next step in Bellerin’s transfer will soon take place.

Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport (via Mirror) says that Bellerin’s agent will land in Milan next week.

He will meet with Inter chiefs to discuss a transfer, which could involve an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy.

The Nerazzurri are low on funds due to the coronavirus pandemic and want to wait until next year before parting with any substantial fee.

Various price tags have been touted, with the latest set at £15million.

Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit recently provided his take on Bellerin’s situation.

The former midfielder said: “It’s time for Hector Bellerin to move on from Arsenal.

“His time there has been very complicated because of injuries. I don’t remember the last time he played a whole season without injuries, that’s been the main problem for him.

“He needs to improve his capacity. When you play at a high level, you need to play every three days. This is not the case with him, and I haven’t seen improvement in terms of his play.

“He’s been at the club for eight years and hasn’t really improved a lot. So it’s time for him to leave.

“He’s been linked in recent months with Paris Saint-Germain and maybe he was hoping to go there, but they’ve just signed Achraf Hakimi. I’m pretty sure that in his mind he wanted to get an option to leave the club, so for me it’s time for him to look elsewhere.”

Bellerin has made 239 appearances for the Gunners in total. He’s won three FA Cups and three Community Shields.
